Model 100-PI R1 Description: Add-In option for the HF Packer Amp V4. The odd shape of this module allows this option to fit comfortably in an area available within the amp.
This option allows you to set the maximum power input to 1W, 2.5W or 5W by the placement of a jumper. This module is installed in the case and requires no holes added to the case.
Operation: A jumper sets the max power input. Choices are 1W, 2.5W and 5W full scale RF input max.
Theory: The 1dB and 7dB attenuator, selectable by relays, provide additive RF input dB attenuation to the 2dB installed on the amp.
Installation: The module mounts over the power supply on new male/female threaded standoffs added to the LP Filter Module standoffs. Two circuit mounting holes secure the module. Two cables from the Amp go to the PINET In/Out connectors. 12V Jack.
Amplifier Module Modifications: Add a 12V cable. The existing pi-resistive network on the Amp module is changed to 2dB. Two short cables added to the Amp provide In/Out PINET connections.
