Assembled and Tested 100W Low Pass Filter Module This accessory builds and tests the 100W Low Pass Filter Module. Includes winding toroids, assembly of all parts, cleaning and function testing. Available when purchasing the HF SuperPacker Pro 100W Amplifier Project. $69.00 | Version 4 Firmware HF SuperPacker Pro – 100 HF SuperPacker Pro – 100W Amplifier Project: HFSP PRO 4.xx FIRMWARE. Includes programmed PIC18F2685 I decided back in February to make another run at the software for the amp. There have been new processors with additional processing power and speed that have guided my steps. The PIC16F886 is being replaced with a PIC18F2685. It is a pin for replacement. One of the biggest boosts is speed going from 4MHz to 32MHz. Another positive feature is memory (96K of flash, 3328 bytes SRAM and 1024 bytes EEPROM) compared to PIC16F886 (8K flash, 368 bytes SRAM and 256 bytes EEPROM) It also has additional 16-bit timers. One is used for frequency measurement with an improved process. The new processor has hardware multiply and a richer instruction set for implementing code. In short, the new processor is vastly superior to the current part. Macros developed and used extensively to improve code readability and organization. The first technical problem was to cure the intermittent LCD startup behavior. Success! With higher processor speed, I have real-time clock granularity of 1ms instead of 10ms so polling of non-interrupt events can be sensed and responded much faster. The faster processor permits higher scan rate of all measured parameters with smoother results utilizing over-sampling and digital filtering techniques. I systematically re-wrote from the ground up implementing a superior structure. For instance all the IO, display and switch inputs are events that only take microseconds to respond. The algorithm is a state machine with basically 8 menus with 5 events from the shaft encoder. External events handled are CAR or PTT. My early emphasis has been on writing the core structure with emphasis on speed and organization into a state machine. The Menus allow calibration on a per band basis. They (menus) follow about the same structure as before. They are more difficult to get detail on each screen positioned because it is now a real time system where part of the code is written as a result of an event and other code has action on a timed update basis. 1. Volts and Amps (calibration for both) 2. Degrees C and STAT (monitoring of the heat sink) 3. Power In and Power Out (calibration per band basis) 4. Power Reflected and SWR (calibration per band basis of reflected power and a SWR calculation) 5. Gain and Frequency (computations) (frequency calibration) 6. Hold Time and Mode (hold time settings for CW and SSB) Choice of SSB or CW 7. Transmit and Attenuate option (manual test on/off and attenuator options (On/Off/Auto) 8. Filter Choice and Filter Mode (auto/manual) I will be distributing the version 4 software loaded on a chip for all the registered builders who request it. Many man hours were devoted to improve the software. Your support is truly appreciated. Happy Operating! I plan to also adapt this software for the Version 1 HF SuperPacker Pro 100W Amp (2006). Look for an announcement from the web site. 73 K5OOR – Virgil $25.00 |
Collapsible Tilt Stand Option for the HF PROJECTS HF SuperPacker PRO 100W Amp, Ver 2. Includes (2) front feet, black nylon, (2) rear feet, black thermoplastic rubber, (2) Tilt stand bumpers, black neoprene rubber, (1) Tilt stand, steel with black epoxy finish. Fits the holes on the cabinet base of the amp. Includes 6-32 hardware (screws, washers and nuts). Set consists of four low-profile molded feet and steel tilt stand. When not in use, the steel tilt stand folds flat against the cabinet base for transportation, storage or stacking. Skid resistant rear feet help keep amp in place without marking surface. Added offset height dimension improves air flow. Dimensions: 5.5 x 1.5 inch $10.00 |
